Meet Wilbert 🖤🤍🐾

Wilbert is a handsome young Hound/Border Collie mix with a sweet, playful personality and a whole lot of life ahead of him. At approximately 1 year old and 52 pounds, he’s still very much a young pup who is excited to experience everything the world has to offer.

Wilbert is described as sweet, active and playful. He’s the kind of young dog who would love having people who want to get outside, explore and make him part of their everyday adventures.

With his Hound and Border Collie mix, Wilbert has the potential to be an incredibly smart, curious and engaging companion. He’ll likely love opportunities to use both his brain and his nose, making walks, sniffing adventures, games and mental enrichment great ways to keep him happy.

Wilbert has been in the shelter since August 19, and staff and volunteers are continuing to learn more about his personality. What he’s shown them so far is a happy young dog who is ready for his chance at a real home.

At only a year old, Wilbert is at such a great age. He’s past the tiny puppy stage but still young enough to learn, grow and develop an incredible bond with his new family. With routine, positive reinforcement, exercise and lots of love, he has so much potential to become an amazing companion.

Wilbert is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and heartworm negative.

This handsome boy shouldn’t be growing up in a shelter. He deserves walks that end at his own front door, a comfortable bed, adventures with his people and a family who gets to watch him grow into the wonderful adult dog he’s meant to be.
