Meet Taylor Shift 🤎🐾

Taylor Shift may have a name that makes you smile, but it’s her beautiful personality and sweet little face that will truly steal your heart.

At approximately 2 years old and just 19 pounds, Taylor is a petite Australian Shepherd mix with gorgeous amber eyes, a soft brown and tan coat and a whole lot of love to give.

And honestly, this little girl already has so many wonderful qualities that families look for in a companion.

Taylor is good with other dogs, wonderful with children and absolutely loves people. She’s affectionate, gentle and seems happiest when she’s spending time with those around her.

She’s also already potty trained and kennel trained, which gives her a fantastic foundation for transitioning into a home.

At just two years old, Taylor is at such a lovely stage of life. She’s still young enough to enjoy adventures, playtime and learning new things, but she’s also beginning to move beyond those early puppy stages.

Her Australian Shepherd background makes her especially interesting.

Australian Shepherds are known for being incredibly intelligent, loyal, affectionate and deeply connected to their people. Originally developed as hardworking herding dogs, they’re often happiest when they have opportunities to participate in family life and use their minds.

They’re the kind of dogs who love having something to do, whether that’s learning new tricks, exploring trails, playing games or simply following their favourite person around the house.

For Taylor, we would love to see a family who appreciates those qualities and is excited to include her in their everyday activities.

She doesn’t need a complicated life. She just needs a life where she’s loved, included and given opportunities to enjoy being a dog.

Taylor would likely enjoy regular walks, outdoor adventures, enrichment activities and plenty of affection.

And because she’s already comfortable around other dogs and children, she has the potential to become a wonderful addition to a family looking for a social, loving companion.

Taylor came into the shelter as an owner surrender. We don’t know all the circumstances that led to her losing her previous home, but we do know that she deserves the opportunity to find a family who will love her for the rest of her life.

She’s already shown that she has so much to offer.

She’s affectionate. She’s gentle. She’s dog-friendly. She’s good with children. She’s potty trained. And she’s ready to belong somewhere again.

At just two years old, she has so many wonderful years ahead of her. Years that should be filled with walks, adventures, comfortable beds, familiar routines and people who love her.
