Meet Scout, aka Birdie 💕

Scout is a 2-year-old Husky/Klee Kai mix weighing 28 pounds with a gentle, sensitive nature and a quiet soul. She may be shy when meeting new people, but with patience, consistency, and a calm environment, she begins to build trust and show her sweet personality.

Once she feels safe, Scout’s playful side comes out. She enjoys toys, gets adorable zoomies, and especially loves playing with other dogs. She thrives in the company of canine companions and will do best in a home with another playful, confident dog to help guide her and build her confidence.

Scout is treat motivated, well behaved in the home, and not destructive. She shows affection in subtle ways, like quietly following her person or offering gentle nose nudges once she starts to bond.

She will need a very specific home environment to continue her progress. A securely fenced yard is essential, as she is not yet leash trained and may try to escape when adjusting to a new space. She should not be left unattended outside during her initial adjustment period, and she will need a patient home that allows her to settle in at her own pace.

Scout does best in a calm, stable environment where she isn’t overwhelmed. She’s not ready for busy outings or high-traffic environments, but in the right home, she will slowly blossom into a deeply loyal and loving companion.

As a Husky/Klee Kai mix, she is intelligent, independent, and sensitive. She will benefit from routine, gentle guidance, and positive reinforcement as she continues to grow in confidence.

Scout is spayed, heartworm negative, and has no known health concerns. She is ready to find a patient and understanding home that will give her the time and support she needs to truly shine.
