Meet Sam, a 5-year-old Lab/Bulldog mix with a heart full of love and a little bounce in his step—literally! This sweet boy was surrendered along with three other dogs when his owner could no longer care for them due to health issues. Despite all the changes in his life, Sam has remained gentle, loving, and endlessly resilient.

Sam is a distemper survivor, and as a result, he has a charming little bounce when he walks. It doesn’t slow him down or bother him at all—in fact, it just adds to his personality! He’s always dancing to the rhythm of his own beat, spreading joy wherever he goes.

He gets along beautifully with other dogs, does great with cats, and adores children. Sam loves being part of the action and prefers to be where his people are. While he’s a bit hesitant on leash, especially around doorways, he just needs a little encouragement and patience. With time and practice, he’ll gain more confidence and settle right in.

This easygoing guy has a few quirks that make him even more lovable—he’ll happily join in when the other dogs start barking, and he has a funny fascination with dirt, enjoying a good dig and play session. Sam is also very treat-motivated, which makes him a joy to work with, and he absolutely loves affection and playtime with his dog friends.

With his low-to-medium energy level, Sam would do wonderfully in a home that has a yard where he can run, explore, and soak up the sunshine. He’s ready to bring happiness, loyalty, and that signature bounce into the heart of his forever family.
