Ryleigh is a stunning four-month-old Catahoula Leopard Dog with a heart as beautiful as her coat. Weighing 32.4 pounds and already spayed, this sweet girl was rescued from the Laredo shelter and is now safe, loved, and ready for the forever family she deserves. She is heartworm negative and currently ehrlichia positive, which is being properly managed. Despite that bump in the road, she is thriving and full of puppy joy.

Catahoulas are known for their intelligence, loyalty, and versatility. Originally bred as working dogs, they are quick learners who form deep bonds with their families. Ryleigh is already showing those wonderful breed traits — she is friendly, attentive, and very treat motivated, which makes training both effective and fun. With continued consistency, structure, and positive reinforcement, she will grow into a beautifully mannered and devoted adult companion.

She has a lovely medium energy level and enjoys playtime without being overwhelming. Ryleigh gets along beautifully with dogs, cats, and children, making her a wonderful fit for a family or multi-pet home. She has no prey drive, is not a digger, and is not a nuisance barker. She’s mostly housetrained, crate trained, and leash trained — an impressive start for such a young pup.

Because she is a working breed, Ryleigh will need a family committed to providing continued guidance, mental stimulation, and daily exercise. Puppies require patience, time, and consistency to help them mature into confident, well-balanced adults. 

Enrichment activities, training sessions, and structured routines will be important as she grows. A yard to safely stretch her legs and explore would be ideal, though she can adapt to apartment, single-story, or multi-story living with the right commitment to her activity needs.
