Meet Pocky 🩷🐾
This beautiful 1-year-old Bulldog mix is just 46 pounds and is such a sweet, playful young girl who desperately needs somewhere safe to land.
For such a young dog, Pocky has already been through so much and has seen so much loss. She’s had far too much change and uncertainty in her short life, and what she needs now more than anything is some stability - a safe place where she can decompress, feel secure and know that someone is there for her.
Despite everything she’s experienced, Pocky is still incredibly loving and excited about life. She can be a little shy when first meeting new people, but she adjusts quickly, and once she realizes she’s safe, her playful and affectionate personality starts to shine.
She loves spending time with her people and is always excited for treats, toys and a good play session in the yard. She also loves car rides and makes a wonderful little travel buddy.
And this girl comes with a pretty impressive résumé - Pocky is good with dogs, cats AND kids. She’s crate trained, walks well on leash and is very treat motivated, which makes continuing her training that much easier.
Pocky has a nice medium energy level and would love daily walks, playtime and enrichment. She isn’t a big fan of loud noises, which isn’t surprising considering everything she’s been through, so she’ll appreciate a patient foster who can give her reassurance and a calm place to settle.
At only a year old, Pocky shouldn’t have to experience another loss. She deserves the chance to finally exhale, feel safe and simply enjoy being a young dog.
Pocky is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and heartworm negative, with no known health concerns or physical limitations.
We urgently need someone to open their home to Pocky THIS WEEK. She doesn’t need perfection - she needs safety, patience and someone willing to be the soft place she lands after everything she’s already been through.
If you can’t foster, please share her. The right person may simply not have seen her yet.
