Meet Mocha - a sweet, gentle little girl who is every bit as warm and comforting as her name suggests.

At approximately 5 years old and just 25 pounds, Mocha is a wonderful smaller-sized companion with a calm, low-energy personality. She’s the kind of girl who would be perfectly happy enjoying leisurely walks and then finding the coziest spot in the house to curl up and relax.

Mocha can be a little shy when meeting new people, but give her some patience and kindness and she begins to warm up. She isn’t looking to rush into anything - she just needs someone willing to give her the time and security to realize she’s safe.

And once she does? There’s a very sweet girl waiting underneath.

Mocha gets along well with other dogs and is good with kids, making her a lovely candidate for many different types of homes. Her gentle nature and lower energy level could also make her a wonderful choice for someone looking for companionship without the demands of a high-energy dog.

She originally arrived at the shelter as a stray, so we don’t know what her life looked like before. At 5 years old, she has already lived an entire chapter that we know very little about. What matters now is giving her the opportunity to start a much better one.

Mocha is vaccinated, microchipped will be spayed and heartworm negative.

She doesn’t need anything extravagant. A safe home, a cozy bed, gentle people, some nice walks and the chance to finally feel like she belongs would mean everything to this little girl.
