Matéo is a 6-month-old Australian Cattle Dog/Lancashire Heeler mix weighing 24 pounds with a gentle and sensitive nature. He can be very shy at first and needs time to feel safe, but once he begins to trust you, he leans into affection and soaks up every bit of love you give him. He is also very treat motivated, making it a rewarding experience to build a bond with him.

Matéo does well with dogs, cats, and kids, but due to his timid personality, he will need a patient home that understands he may take time to fully come out of his shell. He has a low to medium energy level and enjoys a nice balance of playtime and relaxing close to his people.

He is still learning basics like leash walking and crate training, so he will need consistency, structure, and gentle guidance as he continues to grow. With his breed mix, Matéo is naturally intelligent, loyal, and forms strong bonds with his people. Providing mental stimulation, routine, and positive reinforcement will help him build confidence and thrive.

Matéo is healthy, heartworm negative, and already neutered. He is looking for a calm, understanding home that will give him the time and support he needs to truly blossom. Beneath his shy exterior is a very sweet and loving boy who will become a deeply devoted companion.
