Meet Maple 💕🐾

Maple is an adorable 4-6-month-old Boxer mix weighing 25 pounds, and this sweet little girl is ready to find a family to grow up with.

Maple is friendly, affectionate and very people-oriented. She loves attention, toys and, perhaps most importantly, treats. She’s incredibly treat motivated and has already learned sit, giving her new family a great starting point for continued training.

She’s also already crate trained, which is pretty impressive for such a young puppy.

Maple is wonderfully social and has done well with dogs, cats AND kids. Whether her future family already has four-legged members or she’s going to be the centre of attention, Maple has the potential to fit into all kinds of homes.

She has a low-to-medium energy level, but she’s still a growing puppy. She’ll need age-appropriate exercise, playtime and enrichment as she develops, along with plenty of opportunities to nap and recharge that puppy battery.

Maple is still learning how to walk nicely on leash and will need some patient practice. Her housetraining status is currently unknown, so her family should also be prepared for the normal puppy process of establishing a routine and teaching her where she’s supposed to go.

One thing Maple already has figured out? Car rides. She’s a great little passenger and would be more than happy to tag along when her family heads out on an adventure.

Maple also has a bit to say about life. She can be vocal and likes to bark, so her future family should be prepared for a puppy who isn’t afraid to express herself.

As a Boxer mix, Maple comes from a breed famous for being playful, affectionate, goofy and incredibly devoted to their families. Boxers tend to remain young at heart for a long time and love being included in whatever their people are doing. They’re intelligent dogs who thrive with positive training, interaction and plenty of opportunities to play.

At only a few months old, Maple is still at the very beginning of her story. The family who chooses her gets the opportunity to help shape the dog she’s going to become.

She can potentially thrive in many different housing situations as long as her exercise, training and enrichment needs are met. More than anything, Maple needs people who understand that adopting a puppy means committing to all of it - the learning, the growing, the silly moments and the incredibly rewarding bond that develops along the way.
