This gentle 8-month-old, 28 pound Doberman Pinscher mix is the very definition of a soft soul learning to bloom. Kiwi was found scared and hiding in tall grass, thin from lack of food and covered in dirt, but even then her sweetness shone through. With time, safety, and kindness, she’s slowly discovering that the world isn’t such a scary place after all.

As a Doberman mix, Kiwi carries the breed’s hallmark loyalty and sensitivity, but in a quieter, gentler form. Dobermans are known for being deeply bonded to their families, intuitive, intelligent, and eager to please, and Kiwi is showing those traits more every day. She’s treat-motivated, loves toys, and lights up with gentle pets and kind words. She’s still shy when meeting new people or navigating new situations, yet she warms up beautifully with patience and reassurance.

Kiwi enjoys the company of other dogs, does well with cats, and is wonderful with kids, especially those who understand how to move slowly and kindly around a timid pup. She is learning what it means to trust, to play, and to simply “be a dog,” and she’s doing it with such quiet resilience. 

Kiwi will thrive in a home that understands that puppies need ongoing guidance, training, consistency, and structure to grow into confident adult dogs. She’ll do best in a calm, loving environment with a family willing to meet her where she is and walk with her as she continues building confidence.
