Meet Juniper 💙🐾

Juniper is a handsome 4-6-month-old puppy who we believe may be a Boxer/Great Dane mix, currently weighing about 30 pounds. His breed mix is assumed, but judging by his looks and build, there may be some Dane in this growing boy!

Juniper is friendly, affectionate, treat motivated and full of puppy charm. He loves toys, treats and playtime, but he’s also discovered one of life’s greatest pleasures - belly rubs. Give this boy some affection and he’s a very happy puppy.

He’s wonderfully social and does well with other dogs, cats and children ages 6+, giving him the potential to fit beautifully into many different families.

Juniper is already crate trained and does great in the car, so he’s more than happy to tag along when his people head out on an adventure. His housetraining status is currently unknown, and he’s still learning his leash skills, so his family should be prepared to continue working on the basics with him.

Like any young puppy, Juniper still has a few things to figure out.

He can become excited and vocal when he sees other dogs, and he’s currently a little too enthusiastic about trying to rush through an open gate. His future family will need to be mindful around doors and gates while continuing to teach him good boundaries and impulse control.

The good news? He’s young, food motivated and ready to learn. With consistency and positive reinforcement, he has an excellent foundation for continued training.

If our breed guess is correct, Juniper has a pretty wonderful combination. Boxers are known for being playful, affectionate, goofy and people-oriented, while Great Danes are famous for being gentle, loving and often hilariously unaware of just how big they are. Both breeds tend to form strong bonds with their families and love being involved in everyday life.

And because there may be Great Dane in the mix, his future family should be prepared for the possibility that this 30-pound puppy could become a substantially larger adult dog.

Juniper has a medium energy level, but he’s still a growing puppy. He’ll need age-appropriate exercise, play, enrichment and training as he matures.

At only a few months old, Juniper’s whole life is still ahead of him. His future family gets the opportunity to help build his confidence, teach him about the world and watch this goofy little puppy grow into an incredible adult dog.

Juniper is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and heartworm negative, with no known health concerns or physical limitations.
