Meet Frangipane 🤍🐾

To meet her is to love her. Frangipane is an absolutely gorgeous 4-year-old Dogo Argentino mix who has been described by the people caring for her as a total gem.

At around 87 pounds, Frangipane is a big girl - but she’s every bit the gentle giant. She’s sweet, silly, easygoing and genuinely pleasant to be around. This beautiful girl isn’t asking for a complicated life. Her idea of happiness is a nice stroll, some sunshine, good company and eventually a comfortable couch where she can perform her signature move: the Frangipane flop.

Frangipane enjoys taking her time on walks, sniffing and exploring everything around her. Despite her size, she has received lots of compliments on her leash manners. She might gallop around the yard for a couple of laps when the mood strikes, but once she’s gotten that out of her system, she’s more than ready to flop down and relax.

She has also shown that she’s a very smart girl with some lovely manners already. Frangipane knows sit and paw, and shelter staff believe she may already be housetrained.

She’s also social with other dogs and has done well interacting with them in shelter playgroups. She seems to have such a wonderful balance - she can enjoy other dogs, explore the world and have her silly moments, but she doesn’t need to be constantly entertained.

And we have to mention it - this girl is absolutely stunning. She’s a big, beautiful 87-pound lady with such a sweet expression and an equally beautiful personality.

Frangipane has been waiting at the shelter since September 6, and what she needs now is a home that matches her wonderfully chill approach to life. She would love someone who appreciates the simple things just as much as she does - leisurely walks, sunny afternoons, companionship, snacks and plenty of opportunities to lounge.

Frangipane is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and heartworm negative. She’s ready to leave shelter life behind and enjoy all the comfort and love that comes with having a home of her own.
