Cocoa is a stunning 2-year-old Carolina Dog mix weighing 41 pounds with a heart as beautiful as her unique eyes. One eye is a rich brown, while the other is a captivating mix of brown and light blue, making her just as unforgettable on the outside as she is on the inside. She is incredibly affectionate and wants nothing more than to be as close to her people as possible. If you’re sitting on the couch, don’t be surprised if Cocoa decides your lap is exactly where she belongs.

This sweet girl gets along wonderfully with dogs, cats, and kids, but she would truly thrive in a home with another playful dog. She absolutely loves canine companionship and would be happiest with a four-legged best friend to wrestle, run, and burn off energy with every day.

Cocoa is crate trained and happily puts herself to bed at night. She is incredibly intelligent and eager to learn, already picking up commands like sit, stay, and okay with ease. She’s also fully potty trained and prefers doing her business on grass after she’s had a chance to sniff around and find the perfect spot.

While Cocoa has an incredibly loving personality, she’s still a young dog with lots of enthusiasm. She has a medium-high energy level and is looking for an active family who will continue building her confidence through positive reinforcement and consistent training. She is still learning polite leash manners and can become nervous around busy roads and traffic, so she will require a secure, experienced home committed to keeping her safe. Because she is a flight risk when frightened, a securely fenced yard and double-leash system during walks are essential.

As a Carolina Dog mix, Cocoa is intelligent, athletic, loyal, and deeply connected to her family. Carolina Dogs are highly observant, thrive with routine and positive reinforcement, and form incredibly strong bonds with the people they trust.
