Cinnamon is a 2-year-old, 39-pound Kelpie/Husky mix whose gentle spirit makes her an easy dog to fall in love with. She came to us as an owner surrender along with three other dogs when her previous owner faced critical health issues. Despite the sudden change in her life, Cinnamon has shown a soft resilience and a sweetness that shines through more each day.

With her Kelpie and Husky mix, Cinnamon carries the blend of intelligence, sensitivity, and loyalty that both breeds are known for. She enjoys routine, calm homes, and steady companionship. Her energy level is moderate—she loves a good walk, some time to explore a yard, and then settling into quiet moments with her people or her dog friends.

Cinnamon can be shy at first, especially in new environments, but she warms up with patience and gentle guidance. She truly loves the company of other dogs and feels her safest and happiest when she has a canine companion to lean on. She’s perfectly fine with cats and generally steers clear of them. Children are welcome in her world as long as they are calm and respectful; loud, fast, high-energy play makes her nervous, and she thrives best in a peaceful household.

Leash walks are one of her favorite parts of the day. She moves politely beside you and takes in the world with quiet curiosity. Treats and toys are still new concepts to her—she doesn’t quite understand why treats are offered, and squeaky toys or loud noises tend to frighten her. This sweet girl likely hasn’t had many positive experiences with play, so she’ll need a patient family willing to show her that the world can be safe, fun, and full of love.

A home with a secure yard and at least one friendly dog would be ideal for Cinnamon. She blossoms when she has another dog to bond with, and having space to stretch her legs gives her confidence. With a calm environment, consistency, and a family willing to let her unfold at her own pace, Cinnamon will become a loyal, loving companion who is grateful for every gentle moment she’s given.
