This sweet 2-year-old Maltese/Terrier mix may be a little reserved at first, but once he feels comfortable, his gentle and loving personality shines through. Canyon was rescued from a high-kill shelter and has proven to be a kind, easygoing companion who enjoys the simple pleasures in life — like soaking up the sunshine and curling up in his crate for a cozy nap.

Canyon does well with other dogs and cats, and while he’s good with children, he prefers calm, respectful older kids (8 and up) who understand his need for a little space at times.

 He thrives in peaceful environments and would do especially well in a quiet home, apartment, or condo where life moves at a steady pace.
